I found out that I can put a button to Ravelry.com on this blog, so I did. And then I realized I haven't done any writing since August! Apparently having two babies means twice as much work. Who knew!?
My school plans have changed since I last wrote about them. I'll be doing my clinical rotation in during the fall semester instead of right now. I'm taking two courses online and working almost full-time at various clinic sites in the Madison area, depending on which place needs my help. I spend some of my time off studying for my board exam, especially the parts related to blood banking.
H-bomb has finished half of her first year of kindergarten. She really enjoys going to school and seeing her friends. She was sad on the two recent snow days when she couldn't go.
We got her first report card last week and it was full of glowing comments and mostly 4's. I'm not sure why they use numbers, but those correspond to A's. She is reading at the same level as the first grade goal and is almost as advanced in math. We're incredibly proud of her and love when she shows us the new skills she's learned.
Baby SG is already 7(!) months old. She's starting to crawl around and is curious about everything. She has 4 teeth and is getting another one or four. Everything is going straight into her mouth which keeps us busy picking up. She's been doing really well with solid foods and seems to like almost all the foods we've given her, except for fruits like apples and pears. I think her favorites are string cheese, yogurt, and Cheerios.
SuperGeek is training for the Crazylegs run in April. He's been using the treadmill at work instead of trying to run through the 80 or so feet of snow it seems we have. We wish him luck and will have the heating pad and ice packs ready for his recuperation.
Everything else is same-old, same-old. I got the KnitPicks Options needles (Harmony Wood, v. pretty) in the mail today, and I'm planning on starting "Jan", by Wendy Bernard. I'm going to try it with some Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece and see how it works.
